Recipes & Uses

There are many ways to enjoy Oma Goodness! salad dressing and marinade. We will be adding in new recipes and ideas as we go along, but feel free to suggest your own on our Facebook Page!

• Greek salad
• Bruschetta
• Oven roasted potatoes (One of my family’s favourites)
• Add to ribs in the crockpot
• Marinating chicken or other meats
• Paint a thin layer onto fish while BBQ’ing
• Shrimp stirfry
• Pan fried mushrooms
• Stuffed mushrooms
• Add to ground chicken, turkey, beef or veal
• Add to tomato sauce for a quick marinara sauce or top your cabbage rolls
• Add to a cream sauce for a pesto like flavor
• Add to sour cream for a chip dip
• Add to mayonnaise for a potato salad base
• Skillet/grilled/bbq’d veggies
• Pan fried potatoes
• Drizzle over cooked pierogis
• Use as a base on your homemade pizza (Thank you for this suggestion Alissa)
• Couscous salad or Quinoa salad
• Add to rice and water before cooking
• Add to your cocktail Caesar drinks
• Use as a dip with delicious ciabbata bread (might I recommend ‘True Grain’ Bakery in Summerland)
• Add to cooked noodles for a pasta salad
• Use on baked potatoes in place of butter
• Add to add to mashed potatoes
• Grilled vegetables with a drizzle of ‘Oma Goodness’
• Add to cold broccoli and chicken salad
• Dip oysters into a little dressing
• Add to antipasto
• Use as a flavor boost to 5 bean salads
• Add to stewed tomatoes and pour over spaghetti squash or noodles
• Spinach salad with beets, pumpkin seeds, feta cheese and red onion
• Drizzle on your meats before, during or after cooking, bbq’ing, grilling, roasting.
• Slow cook some German sausages in the dressing, could also add some sauerkraut
• Salad of course and then drink the rest of the dressing out of the bowl! (This one is for you Rachael, Dexter and Tina!)
